This Privacy Policy describes how Bond Solutions, s.r.o. ("Audioworm," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you visit https://www.audioworm.fm, use https://app.audioworm.fm, purchase audiobook production or related services, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the "Service"). We are established in the Slovak Republic, with our registered office at Pod sadom 1146/71, 010 04 Žilina, Slovak Republic.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms.
Our Privacy Approach
- Audioworm helps writers and organizations turn manuscripts into audiobooks. We collect only what we need to run the Service.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We use reputable infrastructure providers for hosting, authentication, payments, and audio synthesis.
- We respect EU/EEA privacy rights and provide the controls described below.
Personal Data We Collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
- Account and contact data: email address, account identifiers, and communications you send us (support, feedback, or project notes).
- Authentication data: OAuth tokens and session information processed through Supabase when you sign in to the app.
- Payment data: billing status, order amounts, and limited payment metadata from Stripe. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
- Manuscript and project data: titles, uploaded manuscripts or pasted text, chapter structure, voice preferences, production status, and finished audio files needed to deliver your order.
- Technical and device data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, timestamps, referral URLs, and diagnostic logs needed for security and reliability.
- Usage and analytics data: how you navigate and use the marketing site and app, including page views, feature interactions, session duration, and similar events collected through analytics tools and hosting logs. On the marketing site, analytics run after you accept analytics cookies in the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland, or by default elsewhere until you reject non-essential cookies in our banner. On the app, analytics may run when you use the Service under our Terms.
- Cookie preference data: your cookie consent choice on the marketing site.
How We Collect Personal Data
- Directly from you when you create an account, upload content, pay, or contact us.
- Automatically through cookies, local storage, and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
- From service providers that help us operate the Service (for example, payment confirmation from Stripe).
How We Use Personal Data
We use personal data to:
- provide, operate, and improve the Service;
- authenticate you and secure accounts;
- process payments and deliver audiobook production, chapter downloads, and optional store publishing;
- send transactional emails (for example, chapter ready or production complete notices);
- provide customer support and respond to requests;
- monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms;
- understand product usage and improve the marketing site and app; and
- comply with legal obligations.
We may create aggregated or de-identified statistics that do not identify individuals and use them for analytics, capacity planning, and product improvement.
Legal Bases (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)
Where the GDPR or equivalent law applies, we rely on:
- Contract: to provide the Service you request (account access, production jobs, downloads, billing).
- Legitimate interests: to secure the Service, prevent fraud, improve reliability, measure marketing-site traffic where analytics cookies are enabled under our cookie banner, and communicate about the product, balanced against your rights.
- Consent: for optional marketing communications where required, and for marketing-site analytics cookies in the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland.
- Legal obligation: where we must retain or disclose data to comply with law.
How We Share Personal Data
We share personal data with:
- Service infrastructure: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Stripe (payments), Plunk (transactional email), OpenRouter (text-to-speech synthesis), and analytics providers configured for the Service.
- Professional advisors and authorities when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
- A successor entity if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal data.
International Transfers
Some providers process data outside the Slovak Republic / EEA. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent transfer mechanisms offered by those providers.
Retention
We retain account, project, and production data for as long as needed to provide the Service and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, dispute resolution, security, and legal compliance. You may request deletion as described below. Payment records may be retained by Stripe under its own rules.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. You should protect your email account and devices used to access the Service.
Account and Data Deletion
Subject to legal retention needs, you may request deletion of:
- your email address and authentication record;
- manuscript uploads, project metadata, and generated audio we store for your account; and
- subscription and billing metadata we hold (Stripe retains payment records under its own retention rules).
How to request deletion: email legal@audioworm.fm from the address associated with your account. We will verify your identity and respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (generally one month under the GDPR).
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In Slovakia, that is the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic.
Marketing Communications
We send transactional emails related to your projects. Optional marketing emails, where sent, include an unsubscribe link or instructions.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Cookies
See our Cookie Policy for details. On the marketing site, analytics cookies in the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland require your consent through our banner. Elsewhere, analytics run by default and you can opt out via the cookie banner. The app may use analytics as part of the Service when you have an account.
